Steam Inhalation

Boil water and add to a bowl.
Create a tent with a towel and place face over bowl (shown in picture)
Inhale and breathe deeply as close to 30 mins as possible.

Add peppermint, eucalyptus, or spearmint essential oil to the water. 

You can also make a strong tea with these herbs if essential oils aren't on hand. 

If none is on hand the steam itself will help to loosen mucus.

Hot steamy showers also help.

  • As you move, and increase your breath, your body is expelling bacteria, and other microorganisms from the lungs. Your lungs is an eliminative channel releasing toxins, and other organisms from the body.


  • Also as your heart starts pumping more blood, oxygen, nutrients and waste around the body, the faster the waste can get out, whether through urine, or feces


  • The body is able to pump more white blood cells via the lymphatic system to spread more immunity around the body. Note: The lymphatic system needs movement in order to function at its optimal level.


  • Exercise also helps to reduce stress levels which improves not just your immunity, but your overall heath.

What are Affirmations?

Let us empower ourselves and others by remembering our visions and goals in life. Whether it be a short term goal, or long term goal. To help get to these goals or get a better vision of them, we have to first rid our minds of any limiting beliefs by subconsciously saying affirmations repeatedly. Affirmations are powerful messages that builds faith and confidence, as well as create your reality. Saying powerful and positive messages to yourself will change the patterns of your thoughts and allow your mind to better align itself with those positive messages. Allow yourself to flourish by saying positive affirmations. You become what you think about most of the time, so why not think about what you want to become, talk about it, and be about it. Affirmations work, whether or not you believe the words you are saying. In my experience, some how you begin to believe it. As I began to believe it, I tweaked it to suit me. I added what else I wanted to believe until every single word became my exact goal.

Affirmations are sometimes best done one at a time. The more you focus on one goal at a time, the faster is will manifest into your life. Also keep it simple until you feel comfortable with complex affirmations. I like simple ones that I can repeat all day, or when ever I feel down.

If my mood changes and I want to pull myself out of a funk I remind myself..."I am peace, I am joy, I am light, I am love, I am kind, I am honorable, I am honest, I am amazing, I am unique, I am strong, I am Herbalist, I am wife, I am teacher, I am mother...." As I repeat these words, I remind myself of who and where I am in life, as well as add what I aspire to me. Often times I'll add the opposite of what caused me to be momentarily sad. 

You are well on your way to having better control of your thoughts, mood, life, and all that you attract into it.

***Sunflower Seed Milk***

1 Cup Sunflower Seeds (Best if soaked, especially if you aren't using a high speed blender)
3 Cups Filtered Water
1-2 Tbs Agave Nectar (Use 3-4 Dates if you have)
1 Tb Maca (optional)
1/4 tsp Mixed Spices (Nutmeg, Cloves, Cinnamon, 

Blend everything together and there you have it Sunflower Seed Milk!

Store in fridge 2-3 days

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Cilantro
1-2 cups Pineapples
1 frozen Banana
1-2 cups Mixed Berries
1 Tbs Coconut oil
1 Tbs Maca
1 Tbs Chia seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2-4 cups water
1/2 dropper stevia extract

Blend all and enjoy. If you have a vitamix blend together, if not blend seeds and water first, then add the other ingredients 2-3 at a time for smooth consistency.

DirectionsProcess all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Get Rid of a Sore Throat Quick

A sore throat is a common ailment usually caused by infection. Anyone with a large number of viruses or bacteria can suffer because of that. It is especially common while the seasons are changing.  In the event that you come down with a sore throat, a useful home remedy is raw Garlic. You can gargle with salt water 3-4 times daily. You can also boil raw garlic  with any herbs that may increase the benefits.  Garlic is antimicrobial which acts against negative bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. Garlic also has the power to treat a range of infections which is beneficial to a sore throat. 


***Sore Throat Remedy*** 

  1. Grater some garlic and mix it with shea or other butter creating a paste. 
  2. Put some olive oil on your foot bottom then smear the garlic mixture on. 
  3. Put on two pairs of sox and go sleep. DO NOT WALK WITH THIS ON!!!! Have someone help u.
  4. Wipe off in the morning. REMEMBER DO NOT WALK WITH GARLIC ON YOUR FEET, it will blister.
